Grand Forks BC - Curling Club History

The Curling Club was founded in 1909 and has been in its present location since 1978. In 1985 the facility ownership was transferred to the RDKB. The Club’s membership continues to operate and maintain the facility through its Registered Society. The lounge and the rink area, in the off season, are well used by community organizations and individuals in Grand Forks for athletic and social gatherings. Our aim is to provide a safe and pleasant facility for our region, while promoting the sport of Curling.

We provide the opportunity for curling to all residents of Grand Forks and surrounding communities during the season. We encourage curlers of 6 to 80+ years of age to participate in a healthy lifestyle through “Learn to Curl” coaching and training sessions, Sunday practice sessions and organized leagues.

Social camaraderie is encouraged with post league activities and bonspiels, our Motto is to

Learn – Compete – Have Fun!
